Signature Series Jerkbaits

These aren’t your average lures. The signature series line of jerkbaits is fine tuned and tested to bully big trout. Following years of observation and countless hours on the waters of Lake Taneycomo, Duane Doty has dialed in patterns to trigger a trout’s feeding reflex.

These hand painted lures are hard to come by, and highly sought after. Due to the complex nature of these paint patterns, the Signature Series jerkbaits were only available to Duane’s guide clients – until now! Duane has joined forces with Blake Wilson, another talented fisherman and painter, to increase production and make them available to the public.

These baits have 3 years of proven experience catching trophy fish of many species, and the proof is in the photos! Browse the collection below, and place an order for the lure that best fits your body of water, and preferred fishing style.

Quantities are low, but will be updated often to reflect available stock.

Model
110+1

The 110+1 model jerkbait is a deeper mid-range jerkbait suspending at 7-9 feet deep. It’s medium bill is crafted to eliminate the traditional issues of high water-resistance, fatigue, and deadened darting-action often associated with long-bill minnows, while at the same time preserving the legendary trophy fish action. This jerkbait is intented to be used with an aggressive fishing style similar to walking the dog with a zaraspook.

Why the 110+1 model? If you like an aggressive, high paced fishing style, and you’re done fooling around with small fish, this is the lure for you! Applicable in all water conditions.

Model
606

The 606 is a medium size, medium depth, suspending jerkbait. It’s action mimics a very sporadic, injured minnow with a tight wobble. This retrieve has proven to be an extremely effective jerkbait action not only for trout, but for many other species. This bait has specifically proven itself in matters of trophy rainbow and brown trout here on Lake Taneycomo and elsewhere. It continues to be a go-to lure for many people on the lake. Also suitable for drift fishing.

Why the 606 model? The 606 is most effective in shallow water conditions or under 2 units of generation. This model is a favorite of a couple local brown trout specialist!

Model
762

This 3″ medium size minnow imitation is a floating jerkbait. It is very effective when used in a drift with a carolina style rig, however due to its size and action, it is also effectively used with a jerking retrieve in both still and flowing bodies of water.

Why the 762 model? In comparison to some of the other models, the 762 has a more aggressive wobble which seems to attract more fish in higher flows of water. This model also seems to attract larger fish. For best results, drift this lure in 6,000 to 20,000 c.f.s.

Model
639

The 639 model is a great small, shallow diving jerkbait. It is primarily used in a drift with a carolina style rig – dragging upstream of the boat. It has proven effective in the imitation of baitfish found in the lake and targets all sizes of fish.

Why the 639 model? At 2.5″ long, the 639 is a smaller profile that can cause a stubborn fish in more difficult situations. Great for clear water conditions and any kind of flowing water.
