These events are more than fishing contests. They are gatherings of friends for memory-making times of fishing, eating and fellowship.

This is a catch-and-release, length-measuring contest. Each angler measures the length of each trout and totals all caught to compare with other contestants. The cost is only $25 per person with three divisions that separate novice anglers from professionals to level the playing field. It’s a fun way to support our local food pantry.
This contest started as a fun fathers and sons fishing weekend in the 1970’s. After the patriarch passed away, the sons carried on the tradition, along with many friends who have come year after year. These guys wouldn’t miss this weekend, snow or shine . . . and there have been some cold, snowy days through the years! Invitation only.
The Roger’s Adventure Weekend started back in the early 1980’s when John and Ray Rogers invited a group of friends to join them on two weekends of the year, fishing and deer hunting. The fishing time endures with up to 80 teams competing for purse, money and pride. Come snow or shine, this is the biggest fishing tournament on Lake Taneycomo. Invitation only.
