The 219 model is a medium size, shallow diving jerkbait. It is primarily used in a drift with a carolina style rig – dragging upstream of the boat. It has proven effective in the imitation of baitfish found in Lake Taneycomo and targets all sizes of fish. Not recommended for bank fishing in a current. The 219 model is also effective in stillwater settings such as ponds or lakes using a normal retrieve vs a jerking action. It will attract other species such as crappie and all varieties of bass.
Why the 219 model? Like other medium to small shallow diving jerkbaits, the 219 model also presents a realistic imitation of other bait species found in most bodies of fresh water. This model drifts well in slower water as well as flood conditions upwards of 20,000 c.f.s.
